Week 1: Look Out Baby

I know I usually update weekly but I felt a certain drive to write another blog today. Look at that, progress already? I cross my fingers. So, in my last blog I mentioned something about losing the weight I had recently gained. I am not only doing this for my husband, which I'm sure is going to appreciate it once he gets back, but I am losing it for myself. I can't help but feel absolutely horrified when I look at a picture of myself or feel like the damn Pillsbury Dough Boy every time I put my clothes on in the morning. Mmm..Pillsbury crescent rolls...ANYWAY! I went out and purchased the SlimQuick diet pills from Target the other day, along with Slimfast chocolate shakes. I got the Slimquick without the caffeine because I cannot handle those jitters and for some reason the caffeine likes to follow me into bed...damn you caffeine. So I will let you know how they work out for me regardless.
I started my day off with a nice brisk walk, lots of crunches on my workout balance ball and a few push ups. I bought a jump rope but I think I'll save doing that exercise for sometime when I can do it outside without anyone watching due to the fact that every time I jump, my tits decide to hit me in the face, almost knocking me out. Okay that was an exaggeration, but they do feel that way.
After my little shenanigans, I ran to the post office where I think the post-man was enjoying my workout outfit a little too much because he forgot to charge me for my packaging. Thanks for enjoying my assets mr. post-man! My wallet greatly appreciates it. After that, I thought it would be a good idea to take a trip to the market to stock up on healthy food. I actually ended up spending $100...damn groceries are getting more expensive by the second! With that $100 I bought:

- Almond Milk
-Lots of Veggies
-Fruits
-Turkey Bacon
-Mahi Mahi
-Salmon
-Oatmeal
-FiberOne Choc Brownies...Oh em gee..amazing by the way. (only 90 cal!)
-Low fat Cottage Cheese
-Multigrain Whole Wheat Bread
-Carb Balance Tortillas

For some reason, whenever the husband is gone I tend to buy healthier food and cook healthier. Damn you, honey! Now I know why they say you gain the Married 15! He loves his chips and cookies...and how could anyone resist the temptation when it's luring you in like that!? Good thing he's gone for a month and that means I have a whole month to change my lifestyle.
So far, so good.....until next time...
