Paul Mitchell!

Well, I know my last post was about me picking up the slack and what not...but I have been SUPER busy, so I do apologize for taking forever and a day to write this one! Let's see...what has happened since my last post? A quick update...I HAVE been eating a lot more healthy. I cheated twice. Once when I was at Busch Gardens and then once on my road trip to go visit the Husband in North Carolina. I definitely paid for those though! Amazing how once you stop eating fast food and eating healthy how much your body changes. I felt like COMPLETE crap after I ate it! I don't know if I lost any weight at all because I don't have a scale. I remember telling you how I started the diet pills. They definitely suppressed my appetite. Kind of made me a little tiny bit nauseous combined with my birth control, but I guess that's a good thing! Yay for no eating, woo! Just kidding.
I was walking in the mornings and nights with my dogs and my neighbor but ever since I have been getting ready for school, things have slowed their pace.
I started school at Rudy and Kelly - a Paul Mitchell Partner School - yesterday. I already love it. I met this awesome girl who is completely crazy and loud like me, so thats always nice. There is a 28 year old Navy wife, which is good for me too on a different level. And let me not forget the fabulous gay guy who stood up and said..."hey y'all just so you know I do drag this Saturday night at (blank) and I will give you a flyer to meet me, Ms. Lucy!". haha YOU GO GIRL.Our first day was filled with excitement and loud in your face people. We were welcomed by a pancake and bacon breakfast and that was followed by them telling us that we had to go into the closest shopping center and celebrate "FREE HUG" day. That was interesting all by itself. Mostly old people who were more than happy to see all us crazy girls out there on the side walk. I even had some lady come up to me and say "Can I atleast motorboat those??". That was fun...and  NO she did not get to motorboat me. Sorry to disappoint you! haha.
When we came back to the classroom we had to stand up and tell a little bit about ourselfs and were handed a random question to answer. My paper said..."what celebrity have you been mistaken for?". I havent ever been mistaken for anyone but I have been told I look like Chelsea Handler. Thats probably for my humor.
Today we got our entire Paul Mitchell Cosmetology kit except for the scisssors. They probably don't trust us with them yet because they are VERY expensive. Im talking about hundreds of dollars. They are the GOLD of the kit. I made a video of all the supplies we recieved, so you can go check it out!
Anyhoo! I must get homework done before I pass out because I am exhausted! This girl hasn't had to wake up for anything in the past 4 months!!

Until next time!

Week 1: Look Out Baby

I know I usually update weekly but I felt a certain drive to write another blog today. Look at that, progress already? I cross my fingers. So, in my last blog I mentioned something about losing the weight I had recently gained. I am not only doing this for my husband, which I'm sure is going to appreciate it once he gets back, but I am losing it for myself. I can't help but feel absolutely horrified when I look at a picture of myself or feel like the damn Pillsbury Dough Boy every time I put my clothes on in the morning. Mmm..Pillsbury crescent rolls...ANYWAY! I went out and purchased the SlimQuick diet pills from Target the other day, along with Slimfast chocolate shakes. I got the Slimquick without the caffeine because I cannot handle those jitters and for some reason the caffeine likes to follow me into bed...damn you caffeine. So I will let you know how they work out for me regardless.
I started my day off with a nice brisk walk, lots of crunches on my workout balance ball and a few push ups. I bought a jump rope but I think I'll save doing that exercise for sometime when I can do it outside without anyone watching due to the fact that every time I jump, my tits decide to hit me in the face, almost knocking me out. Okay that was an exaggeration, but they do feel that way.
After my little shenanigans, I ran to the post office where I think the post-man was enjoying my workout outfit a little too much because he forgot to charge me for my packaging. Thanks for enjoying my assets mr. post-man! My wallet greatly appreciates it. After that, I thought it would be a good idea to take a trip to the market to stock up on healthy food. I actually ended up spending $100...damn groceries are getting more expensive by the second! With that $100 I bought:

- Almond Milk
-Lots of Veggies
-Fruits
-Turkey Bacon
-Mahi Mahi
-Salmon
-Oatmeal
-FiberOne Choc Brownies...Oh em gee..amazing by the way. (only 90 cal!)
-Low fat Cottage Cheese
-Multigrain Whole Wheat Bread
-Carb Balance Tortillas

For some reason, whenever the husband is gone I tend to buy healthier food and cook healthier. Damn you, honey! Now I know why they say you gain the Married 15! He loves his chips and cookies...and how could anyone resist the temptation when it's luring you in like that!? Good thing he's gone for a month and that means I have a whole month to change my lifestyle.
So far, so good.....until next time...

Procrastination!

Procrastination...a term defining what I do best. I never used to be like this, so what the hell is up?? I can't stick to something for more than two weeks, or even two freaking days! I'm even sitting here- been out of the shower for a whole thirty minutes or so- and I haven't even brushed my hair yet because it takes too much effort to climb the twenty stairs up to my bathroom to get the brush. I just don't seem to have the drive and inspiration that I used to.
In spite of all my lazy glory, I have decided to make a vow. A vow to you, my readers, and a vow to myself to push myself harder. Push myself to lose the 15 pounds I gained from moving. Push myself to do things on time. AND...Push myself to write my blog on time! (Yeah I know, I was even two days late writing this). I will be updating you weekly on my progress...or not. Positive thoughts, positive thoughts, POSITIVE THOUGHTS!
I can and WILL do this...
